Re: DIGI001 + Yamaha 01V????
Yes:you can use the ADAT-lightpipe with the 001 (optional card for the 01V). Works like a charm.

Re: DIGI001 + Yamaha 01V????
Hi!
I'm considering buying the 01v with ADAT board, but find it difficult to figure out the exact way in which I'd connect it with Digi001 and my Akai S2000. Would appreciate the description of your setup. Thanks!

I use an old Korg1612RC desk and it works like a charm with 001 so the yamaha should be no problem at all

Re: DIGI001 + Yamaha 01V????
This is an ideal combination
There is an ADAT optical expansion for the o1v . you just go in and out. midi in midi out. If you run out of processing power. use the o1v. now you have 22 inputs w/ 18 simultainious tracks. the only question I have is: Can you use the remote midi fader bank as a tactile interface for automation? |

Hell yes there are midi commands you can assign the Pro tools channels of audio as a midi control no-7 and watch the faders move from the 01v that way you have real time control over mixing with all 10 fingers just like an SSL with automation but 99,000 dollars cheaper!!!!! http://drastiksolutions.11net.com

I would like to know how to assign the audio chanels of Pro Tools so I can control PT as well as have the flying faders. This is not all done on the (REMOTE) page 3. Or do you have to flip bettween to different function pages? E-mail me: [email protected] Thank You. |

Re: DIGI001 + Yamaha 01V????
I have an O1V and am enjoying it but I have been unable to overcome a major problem with regards to outputs into the 001.
The O1v has some great effects onboard which I hoped to use. However, to date, I cannot receive an "effected" signal back from the O1V through direct outs 1 thru 8 of the Option I/O card!! The only way I can get a signal coming "out" of the O1V to include the onboard effects, is if I go out the ST.L or ST.R channels, but then the signals are too low to even register. I've tried swapping, etc. but nothing seems to work. Right now all the O1V does for me is add 8 add'l channels of inputs. No onboard effects and dynamic processors available at all. Arno, can you offer any advice on this? Am I right or just missing something very simple?? The O1V is a great board, but I want it for the effects too, not just 8 more inputs. Thanks for any help. Re: DIGI001 + Yamaha 01V????
dear old boy,
go to the pan routing page and assign the rtn1 or rtn2 to bus 1-2 or 3-4 and in the option i/o page route the bus to the option output you want. in this way you can route your effects into the digi001. but beware of the delaytimes you have ! anyway i prefer to route my 001 signals into the 01v and mix it there with the effect processors (intern and outboard) and use the digital output of the 01v for taping to DAT. i hope this helps. greetings tantejo from holland. |

Re: DIGI001 + Yamaha 01V????
If you're refering to the possibility of controlling 01v's faders from Pro Tools, that's close to impossible. Controlling Pro Tools faders with the 01v is possible and has been discussed many times here on the DUC.
