It’s been 20 years but I remember something called La Batt Blue..... might have been without the “e” in Quebec.... and then there was that standard Millers? that everyone one else not French Canadian would drink....

La fin is much different, it’s 9%. and while brewed in Canada it’s really more of a Belgian style beer. That same brewery also makes a beer called “A tout le monde” which comes complete with the Megadeth logo and Vic Rattlehead on the bottle. The Megadeth beer is also great, it’s 5% so not as strong as most of their other beers but definitely a good beer.

Got a 12 pack of Labatt Blue in the ice box - billed as a Canadian pilsener. And nowheres on the package is the word Quebec.

Funny thing about spelling - the railroad Canadian National has two different spelling on the twp sides of their box cars. There's Canadian on one side and the other side it's spelled Canadien.

I have to wonder - how many Aussies actually drink Carlton beer?

Not me..... my fav here in the The Ducks from Western Australia at present.... as in the The Ducks Nuts lol..... yeah it been 20 years but to me Labatt Blue tasted more like our Tooheys New and not real sure it was a just Quebec beer just that it seemed to be a fav in eastern townships of Quebec.... it was for me. Never like the Pilsener’s they brew down here.

We had a local brewer here who brewed a one off beer from cattle meat and it was sold at a local agricultural fair Primex in northern NSW. Didn’t try it myself but a couple mates did who reckon it was different and pretty good..... I would have tried myself but it sold out pretty quick.

Browsing YouTube and found a commercial for Foster's Lager and their tag line is/was "Fosters - Australian for beer". Big cans - 25 ounces - or as they used to call them here in the US - oil cans
