Default Master Bus Compressor fro TV series opinion?

I am mixing a tv series and I would like recommendations on the best compressor for the DX bus. I was originally requested to mix in 5.1 at theatrical level, but now the series is sold for TV broadcast and then release on DVD. Because of the tv deal, I have to now limit to -12dbfs which means full re-leveling (actual re-mixing), inserting a limiter, but most importantly get the best compressor for the DX bus.

I am using Equity EQ, Cedar, Waves surround (com and limit), can anyone recommend a top quality compressor specifically well suited for DX bus?

Thanks,

I switch it up between PT Compressor/Limiter Dyn 3 for transparency and PSP VintageWarmer2 for nice colour. Depends on what I'm going for and works for me.

Currently using McDSP ML4000 for limiting and multi-band if needed. The metering for gain-reduction isn't all that informative, just use your ears.

McDSP Ghannel G (or Massey CT4 now that I think of it)

IMHO, DX stem is not really a problem on TV mixdown translation. You can just slap a limiter (I use Massey L2007, peaking @-8) and move on.

SFX stem is a bit intricate. Most of the time I do increase the level for atmos (amb) stems a bit. But need to multiband (I use Master X3, again peaking @-8) on the hard FX stem.

Music is where the hardwork goes, you really need to remix the level to get it smooth. Again I use Massey L2007, peaking @-8 just to safe guard the stem.

At the end, I have Waves L2 brickwaling the master mix bus @ -10 (our standard TV & VCD deliveries spec).

BTW: I mix the dialog to register around -30 to -20 on the cinema mix.
