Default SMPTE OR MTC LOCK/POSITIONAL SYNC

I realize there are a number of threads on this topic but I still dare to create the latest one.

Has anyone been able to utilize a realiable "Lock to timecode" for the Digi 001?

FYI, my needs would intail pulling and laying back spots to say a DA88 or time-coded DAT.

Any good results?

I have no experience with the DA-88 but I lock my DA-7 console with MTC and it locks without fail, time and time again. Seems to be dead on too. I use it for my automation on the DA-7.

Thanks Dinkus.
So I figure for your purposes you're happy with the fact that your getting automated moves in a timely fashion. I still wonder though, how your method would do regarding perfectly phase-locked audio to some timecoded deck (TC DAT or DigiBeta for example) with the 001.

Thanks for your reply,
Shawn

I have made a sync test with a Digital Betacam, using a Rosendahl Nanosyncs in order to have a spdif audio clock generated with a video reference, and using a Rosendhal MIF 3 as LTC/MTC converter, and it was working perfectly well.
I am sure that there are other combinations giving the same results...

Good luck,
