Default Multiple problems with PT 8.0.5

Hey guys,

First of all, I have been a PT user for 13 years. These problems I have seen over and over in other threads and I have done everything I have ever been told to do. I have seen no resolve. Here are the steps...

1: Fresh W7 x86 install.

2: Full optimization as recommended by the Optimization thread below before Pro Tools install.

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...oting/en349411

3: Run Windows Update

4: Update .NET Framework to version 4

5: Update C++ to current version from Visual Basic Website

6: Recent version of Quicktime install

7: Updated PACE Drivers install

8: Install of original PT 8.0.0

9: Install of PT 8.0.5 from AVID site

10: Trash Prefs (DAE Prefs folder and DAE Prefs file)

11: Delete DIGI Database folders

12: Empty Recycle Bin

13: Run PT as Admin

14: Load session

15: Click on MIDI Editor

16: Receive this error message

Access violation occurred unable to write to location 0x00000A34 at address 0x10158081 in module: CFnd.dll

Access violation occurred unable to write to location 0x00000A34 at address 0x10158081 in module: DFW.dll

Also, Dverb and Click are disabled by PT claiming DAE 7400 error.l

Here is my SANDRA

Thanks for posting the Sandra. Integrated graphics is often a show stopper for Pro Tools(not sure if that's the issue here or not). What are you using for an interface? VIA firewire controllers are not always compatible either. 4GB of RAM is dead minimum(but don't buy more until you get the system working, and then buy more of the exact same RAM with 2 more sticks to maintain the dual-channel RAM function). Try disabling all networking and the on-board audio too.
