Default Nothing is record enabled yet I\'m hearing my mics!

I'm using Pro Tools HD and I've been trackings drums and therefor are using 10 analog ins. This is crazy, but it seems like sometimes in this case analog ins 5 and 6 are coming out of my speakers even though they are not record enabled. I can't understand how this is happening. Has this ever happened to you...anybody know how to fix this. I don't think this interferes when I record onto the tracks, but it is annoying and I would like to get to the bottom of it.

Do you have any hidden Aux tracks?

Are you using a console to feed the ProTools inputs?

When you MUTE those two tracks, do you still hear the audio?
If not, refer to Rail's message.
If so, try this.
Save your work.
CTRL Click the left column of the ALL group to show everything.
Select everything. (Alt click on any track name)
Hold down Shift+Alt and select voice off on any track, (this will turn voices off on all tracks).
Do you hear it now?
If you do, then I doubt what you hear is coming from ProTools.
If not, enable each track's voice one by one.
This should reveal the culprit.

It's easy for this one to happen, especially when you get the session from someone else, and don't know what they were using. Maybe an external reverb return...

Yeah, I have muted ALL of my tracks and still I'm picking up analog ins 5 and 6 which are two of my tom mics. I have record enabled everything and muted everything...I still hear those mics emitting sound out of my monitors. I have gone into my I/O setput and made sure everything is correct. Just really weird.

Create a master fader for your Tom tracks and see if you have post fader metering on it.

Just wondering, do you also hear these mics after you QUIT Protools?
