Default Losing Your Mix

Does anyone ever sometimes forget that you have the "all" group selected, then option-click a fader to put it at unity gain, and lose your entire mix (assuming you haven't automated anything yet)? I was just wondering if I'm the only person that does this on a "more than I'd like to" basis.

I've actually never had that happen to me, but couldn't you just undo, if one makes that mistake ?

No, you can't undo fader movments. Sometimes I can get away with using the ol' "revert to save" though, if I've saved recently enough.

No undos in the faders.

A "mix state" button would be great!

This one drives me nuts. I have autosave backups set to five minutes but there is a lot you can do (and bugger up ) in five minutes.
Something for PT6?? Perhaps that may persuade me to upgrade.......... Eventually.

Im not sure if this will work but if you have a fader or an aux that you know is set to 0db, make sure you just pull back up on this fader before you release the original accidental move. This should pull all the faders back to there original positions.

I tried it and it works. If you have groups, as long as 1 of the faders is set to 0db, if you accidentally pull thr group up oe down, you can restore relative fader positions by bringing the referenc track back to 0db. This works even after releasing the mouse. Just don option click any of the faders or you'll default the whole group and lo\se relative positions.
