What/who are you replying to? Bruce Paine long ago stopped working for Avid. If you've only posted one message on DUC how can he be replying to you suggesting you check private messages?

iLok is iLok, a different company than Avid, Avid staff can't help you with iLok account passwords. iLok support contacts are on their web site.

I also am having issues with this.

It says that my i lok 3 is owned by another user.

I purchased an I lok 3 and subscribed on avid to use the license on the new I lok but it says it cant transfer because the I lok is owned by another user.

How do I change the user if the I lok is brand new?

Hi,

Take it back to the shop where you bought it and tell them its already been registered to someone. it must have been opened and used before you bought it.

Unless you yourself have registered it and forgot you done so and forgot the user name you used.

Ilok.com is where you need to ask support and they'll probably want screen shots of your ilok account showing the ilok in question. which will still show in the list of available iloks but as not registered to your account.

Hi Bruce, I'm having the same issue could you send me a message with how to go around it, had a mare getting the pace drivers to work now I've encountered the same issue. opened pro tools, it can see my ilk usb plugged in but i can select it.

Bruce doesn't work here anymore but you should start a support case with Avid as that will be needed anyway.

Include all the info where you bought your copy and what steps you have done etc. The more info the better.

Welcome to the community.

He should sign into his account with the iLok connected, deactivate all the licenses, then right+click the iLok and choose Remove iLok from Your Account.
