m-audio Keyrig 49 not working in PT11

8GIG DDR2 RAM

Problem concerns my m-audio Keyrig 49 midi keyboard. I've been trying for days to find a solution for my MIDI-keyboard to function in Pro Tools. According to m-audio no specific drivers are needed for Windows 8.

The keyboard works in Windows. When I try to set it upp in PT's MIDI Studio setup I can use Input device as "Keyrig [emulated]" but still no sound. Been choosing different manufacturers as well (since "m-audio" is not listed in MIDI Studio.) According to a thread on the m-audio forum sometimes one has to restart the computer for the drivers to kick in. I've restarted and also been uninstalling both the Keyrig as well as Pro Tools several times so far but with no luck getting it to work.

Also tried changing USB-ports for the device (and others to see if they were "disturbing" eachother.)

Anyone had similar experiences like this, and perhaps found a solution?

Not sure if I'm missing something here but I've been using the keyboard since PT7 with no hassle when going up a version. Any help would be much appreciated.

Forgot to mention that when choosing the "Keyrig [emulated]" device in midi studio setup and then close Pro Tools it crashes. When I reboot the entire system and go back into Midi studio setup the driver is not set to the keyrig anymore. This happens most of the time but not always.

Have you downloaded the driver for keyrig49 Win 8 here

Install this and then trash preferences and databases restart and try again

I can't see no specific Win8 driver but I tried installing the drivers for a third time and now I get the keyboard working! Wee =)
