Automation Snapshots
Is there a way in ProTools to save more than one automation snapshot? I know you can save several when using a D-Command, is this feature available to those without a D-command?

Re: Automation Snapshots
Hi
Make a selection or select the clip or tracks where you want to make a snapshot. Now with keys or from the menue do "Write to current or write to all enabled". This way you can have as many snapshots as you need. Just look at the menue to see what options you have Ale

Re: Automation Snapshots
That's not quite what I am talking about. Using the Capture button on the automation window you are able to store all of your track parameters into a capture buffer. This includes all of your plugins, panning, level, etc. You can then punch those parameters into different selections wherever you choose. With a D-command you are able to save these capture buffers... I believe up to 48 snapshots.
Useful when you have the same scene come up at different times. |

Re: Automation Snapshots
Do you mean going back to a selection, were your desired automation is; Alt+Capturing it, and punching that to a new selection ?

Re: Automation Snapshots
Why is it not so good to copy special all automation of the previous scene and paste special/repeat to fill to the following same scene ?
(Just want to learn)

Re: Automation Snapshots
You can´t.
Buy artist control, you´ll get 48 snapshots on it. |

Re: Automation Snapshots
Oh really? Thought that was only for D-Command and D-Control. Good to know.

Re: Automation Snapshots
Well, If I wanted to just copy an EQ setting, I would Command+Shift+C and paste it, but I want to copy the EQ, Panning, and Aux levels, you can Option+Shift and click capture and then option+shift punch at the desired place.
