Question about licences with iLok

I have the Pro Tools 10/11 upgrade bundle. I have finally built a PC that can properly run 12 but i need a newer iLok. My question is if i were to keep 11 on my old PC and put 12 on my new PC, is there a way to separate the licences and be able to run both with 2 different iLoks on separate PCs?

No, you can not split the bundle if you have one license but if you keep the old bundle and buy a new license or a Subscription to PT 2019 as there is no PT12 available to buy anymore you can use them on two different PC’s at the same time with two separate licenses.

If you do the upgrade you need to surrender the 10/11 bundle and if you get the older licenses in that upgrade you still cant use them at the same time.

But you can just swap the ilok from PC to PC and use the license on as many computers as you want but you need the ilok key in one at a time.

Or, depending on the upgrade cost, you could buy the new version outright and put that licence on a new iLok, leaving the old one as-is for use on the old setup

Upgrading 10/11 in today's terms means you need to find a dealer that can sell you "reinstatement" (of support and update plan) package. Avid stopped selling those last year. I think that should cost about 300/standard or 1000/ultimate. So with two systems you may very well find completely new license worth its price.
