Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
Hi community,
I just bought 2 S1, 1 dock and 3 Huawei T5, but I can only connect 1 single T5 at the time to the eucon system using the Avid Control app. All SW and firmware are up to date. The system runs on the latest Pro tools version installed on iMacPro Catalina. Can anyone connect more than 1 Huawei T5 (or other android tablet) with the latest SW version? Each T5 is working fine individually, but as soon as one is connected, the 2 others remain as "Not connected" and can't be seen in the device list. Many thanks for your help musically ;-) |

Did you read the guide on how to attached more than one tablet? You need to drag the extra ones on top of the S1's in the my list

Re: Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
Thanks Eddie, yes I read all the doc provided by Avid.
But guest what... The EuControl Settings/Surfaces/All Surfaces/Show Info... is showing me the exact same MAC for each of the 3 Huawei Tablet, which is very probably the reason why I can only see one of the 3 devices in the all Surfaces list, and the reason why only the first tablet on which I start Control can connect to the EuControl!!! The MAC-Address (Settings/Wifi/) of each table is unique and not the same as the EuControl MAC info. That should help to fix the problem, but how can it be fixed?? |

BTW I'have opened the case 03870525 by Avid, but no explanation, workaround or solution found so far...

Re: Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
Are the Mac addresses the same for the tablets or S1's. I ask as we did have that issue on a couple of S1's early on

Re: Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
each MAC shown by EuControl Setting is unique for the 2 S1 and the Doc and different from the Huawei tablet.

Re: Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
Unfortunately Eucon uses Apple Bonjour for discovery and it requires unique Mac addresses. I would try and return them for new ones.

Re: Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
Eddie: The EuControl app allows to "Collect Support Files..." that should help you a lot to troubleshoot...Should I send it to you or Avid somehow?

Re: Cannot connect more than 1 Huawei MediaPad T5 (Android) at a time
Eddie: The MAC-Address provided be the Device is unique. There is no problem with the MAC address on the device itself. I can get for each of them a different IP address from the dhcp. The problem isthe MAC in the EuControl Settings Show Info side, not the wifi MAC address of the device. How does the EuControl generate this MAC shown on the EuControl Setting?
