Default "Pause" bug

Has there been acknowledgement of this bug where PT stops functioning and says "Pause" or "record pause" in the left hand corner of the screen when trying to go into play or record? I'm seeing posts dating all the way back to 2007 and its happening to me in PT 11 now. several times today.

Mac Pro dual 6 core 3.33
10.8.4
PT 11.0.1 HD with RME HDSPe hardware.

Is anyone else seeing this with PT11? Its happening to me all the time. Only fix I can find is to quit Pro Tools and relaunch. major drag! I've trashed prefs...

Why when PT has a bug its always some crazy show stopper? like the lost output signal from auxes in PT 9...

anyway curious if anyone else is running into this. thx

I have a feeling that this pause bug is also related to the video import issues... if I take the video offline (that I had to import using PT10) the session will not do the pause or pause record bug. I have to restart the session in order to get the video back on line and play the session however. The video window fails to open at this point as well.

OK... eventually after clicking around enough i was able to get the message "Pro Tools has become disconnected from the video engine. Would you like to re-enable it"" or something to that effect... after clicking ok to "relaunch" the video engine, the pause bug went away. Is there a definitive way to reset the video engine?
