Pro Tools 7.4 failed to initialize properly(Oxc0000142)
Hey! I have had pro tools for a number of years and have had limited problems. But recently I got a message that comes up everytime I try to open it that says that the application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000142). Click ok to terminate the application. It was working perfectly about two weeks ago but I have just installed a new antivirus named Ca Internet Suite and it stopped. Can you tell me is it the antivirus or a completely new problem. It can't be the system requirements because it has been on the same system and worked perfectly!!! Help please!!

Re: Pro Tools 7.4 failed to initialize properly(Oxc0000142)
Hi Kent,
Pro Tools and anti virus software historically are not the best friends. Disable or uninstall the anti virus software and see if that helps. For the record - This is PT 7.4 you are talking about correct ? Chris
