Default Program failed to initialize properly (0x80000003)

Since I couldn't bear with the downtime while putting an new disk into my laptop I got the "fantastic" idea to clone the disk with Norton Ghost.

Everything seemed to have worked proplerly until I try to start protools.

Program failed to initialize properly (0x80000003)

After some googling I found out that this is usually caused by garbage in the registry, that I needed to uninstall and reinstall do some fixes and what not. All that did not work.

The problem was that Pace anti piracy does not handle cloning very well, everything ran smoothly after a reinstallation of the pace drivers.

Decided to document this here on the forums since my search for this title didn't answer anything about my particular problem.

I make an image of my System Drive daily using Acronis True Image and have never had any problems with the PACE drivers. I also keep the PACE drivers current.

Cheers,
