Default Stand alone editor? What.....

the hell is taking SO long to get one AVID?

It's really unbelievable that you have not made one by now and further more why in the world would you make hardware and advertise to EVERYONE you can use it in other DAWS but only have a software editor for PT.... WE ARE CHARGED for the hardware, we pay for the hardware but you, AVID, try to pull us in to your cash friking ridicules over paying DAW?

Eleven Rack is cool and ProTools is NOT by any means the only DAW on the block.

WHY do you guys keep F$$$king up OVER AND OVER.

I challenge you PT to post a poll and ask these 2 questions.

1: I want a stand alone Eleven Rack Editor.
2: I don't want a stand alone Eleven Rack Editor.

If question 1 wins make it happen because that's what WE want and WE pay the bills and WE are why you are in business.

I am sure there will be some PT lovers that will spin this some way to make it like what we want is wrong or not needed, for those I say FU and get a life!

I bought Eleven Rack because it was advertised to work in all DAWs, I paid my money and it's time for all of us to have the same editing abilities...

The Sleeping giant will fall, I just hope it is not before they make a stand alone editor for us.

Thank you for your time, I know this is just wishful dreaming.

PS..If and when you guys decide you want to make one you had better not charge us for it!

Welcome to the wonderful World of Avid .

Just look at IdeaScale the vast majority of people want an editor. In the last couple of days I have been working on a project where I have the project open and the 11R Editor and I went to save a preset I was carving out for the song and ProTools itself shut down taking a couple of hours work with it. I cannot describe the joy I was feeling. You think I would've learnt my lesson after that first incident, but, no I did it again later.

So, yep, a standalone editor would probably stop that from happening. Probably .

It's not me that needs to look at it...hell that website that takes polls means nothing to AVID. There is only one logical reason AVID did not add in a stand alone editor and that is to get people to buy their DAW and hope they get HOOKED like a drug addict to their over priced DAW.

I bought the the Eleven Rack NOT PRO TOOLS!

@ microstudio

I totally agree with what you are saying, but tend to disagree with the delivery of the message.

Perhaps though, if nothing else, you have highlighted the level of 11R users frustration at not having a standalone editor.

At this stage I doubt Avid will take much notice of any individual throwing their toys out of the cot; then again they haven't taken much notice of diplomatic discussion ether.

Ah what the hell....go for broke dude....entertain us

I do however get a sense that the Chimp is trying to tell us something...hope I'm right.

Frustration is a nice word

There is a saying "people make time to do the things they want to do"

Make time AVID it's only been YEARS already!
