Default Unable to locate hardware - Help!!

Hello,

I just purchased the AKAI EIE PRO which came with Pro Tools Express. I installed everything onto my mac late 2013 OSX 10.9.2 (ILOK is ok, installation is complete,...)
When I want to start Pro Tools Express there's a pop-up saying: UNABLE TO LOCATE HARDWARE...
I tried plugging it into another USB-port, but the problem remains...
Anyone?

Pro Tools Express is not actually supported with OSX 10.9 Mavericks. It is based on Pro Tools 10, and the only version to support Mavericks is PT 11.

You might be able to get it working though. Akai have a beta Mavericks driver for the EIE Pro, have you tried downloading and installing it:http://www.akaipro.com/product/eiepro#downloads
