Default Motormix Wackiness

When I enable my Motormix, all is well for a few minutes then all the volumes on my monitor drop to -3.7, the pans on all mono tracks randomly flip left or right but not all the way. I can mute and solo tracks from the Motormix but the faders stop working. I've trashed prefs, repaired permissions, reseated midi cables, tried different midi cables all to no avail. This was happening in 9.0 as well as 9.0.2. I have the most recent ROM in the Motormix as it was just rebuilt a few months ago. Any thoughts?
