002R sold for hardware exchange?

I asked this in the HD forum, but no response. Can I sell my 002R to someone so they can register it and turn it in for the HD hardware exchange to PTHD?

Not quite sure what you're asking... do you mean to sell it to someone else so you can do the HW exchange...? Or so they can do the exchange? Have you already registered it?

No. I own it. I will sell it to them. Then they register it and own it. Then they use it to do a hardware exchange. Possible?

I don't see why this won't work other than the price that you want to sell it is higher than someone is willing to spend given that a Digi002 can be found on ebay pretty cheap nowadays. I've seen around $199.00 and I'm sure there are lower. But to answer your question, there is nothing preventing you from selling a used Digi002 to someone that wants to trade it in for a HD rig. As a side note, is the HD trade up offer still going? I thought it expired and was extended but even that extension expired too. I may have my dates wrong.

It needs to be owned and registered for at least 6-months to qualify, unless they have changed that.... which I doubt.
