Talkback button light permanently ON

Please, how can I turn OFF the talkback button which has been ON.
I have tried going through the utility button to put it OFF but it will still cone ON again after exiting the utility.
I have to be turning the talkback volume numb instead of pressing the talkback button.
Please help me out.

2 ideas:
1) double tapping latches the switch on, I think it takes a double tap to turn off
2) is the Auto Talkback button pressed, that bring Talkback on when the Transport stops

and are you on an ICON or a Control 24? just so we can narrow in on what the problem may be

But I have done that many times to put it off by tapping it twice but instead of it turning off, it starts blinking.
Anytime I put on the C/24, it light ON again till the end of the session.
I don't know what to do again.

Sounds like you've got a foot-switch plugged in that has the wrong polarity.

Happened once on my D-Command, and this article sorted it. Not sure how this works on a C|24.
