Default Most optimal way of running PTLE? Hard drive...

Currently, I have PT LE 6.9 installed in my laptop hard drive (60GB). I also have an external hard drive (250GB @7200RPM). Am I suppose to run protools on the 60 GB system hard drive, and save the files on to the external? Or is there a better way to do this? Thank you in advance.

PT on the internal (OS), audio on the external.

but besides audio...should you save project files, etc, in the external as well or just save it in the internal?

Yes. When you initially create the session, create it on the external drive. When you do, all of the audio will automatically be stored there (unless you've got "round Robin" allocation checked, which is not usually recommended).
