Default why isn\'t my harddrive being awesome?

I have a brand new 002 rack. When recording onto my harddrive I get this message every two seconds:

The aduio divice buffer underlowed. If this occurs frequently, try decreasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine panel or remove other devices from the audio firewire bus. (-6085)

But I am already at 64 samples which is as low as it goes.

When I record onto my computer everything works well except for the usuall when you are recording onto the computer with LE. I've used this same harddrive in the past with HD and LE systems. What is the Problem?

Default Re: why isn\'t my harddrive being awesome?

Is this a seperate hard drive (not the system drive or any partition of it)? Is it 7200 rpm? Is it oold and maybe ready to go belly up? Is it an external drive? If yes, it SHOULD be firewire and NOT usb. If its internal, double-check your system settings and make sure they meet the setup described in the "getting started guide". Make sure you have the proper version of PT to go with your version of MAC OS. On a PC, that message sometimes means that the drive is operating in PIO mode and not DMA(required). Don't know if that applies to MAC.
