AAE error -7100

Is my Mac Pro telling me it's time to buy a new one? I seem to have been seeing a lot of different errors lately (HDX1 with MTRX and HD I/O, on Mac Pro 5,1/macOS 10.14.6). Hopefully it's not the HDX card itself that has smoked...

Today I was introduced to the -7100 error, whilst opening a session or changing buffer sizes (anything I suppose that reconfigures the plugin network). Pro Tools tells me there's been an error allocating voices and not all audio tracks were voiced. Restarting Pro Tools helps.
