Fresh install of Structure and its content. Fresh installs of Goliath and Symphonic Orchestra, Structure Vintage Soundware, Concerto etc.

Latest plug in update installed...

I can browse to the the content but its not getting loaded or showing up in favorites. The one time I did get it to show up in favorites it also duplicated all of the existing favorites within added folders. The only option it seems for removing an entry from your list of favorites also removes the entire library from your drive (Why is there not an option to remove an just an entry from favorites? - If I want to delete the libray permanently I would just do it from Windows Explorer or the Finder).

Reinstalled Goliath and Symphonic Orchestra twice now. That 19 DVD's. Plus the 5 for Structure. Twice.

Optional PTIEP backup disk set that was ordered from the Avid store is giving crc errors on two of the Structure content disks so thats pretty much worthless.

The PT9 AIR PTIEP manual covers using the "Set Structure Content Location" function but any other info on adding libraries seems sketchy at best.

Frustrated.
Sunburst'79 can you start a new thread and also give me a skype when you can, please.

Even if I have showed the Setup window (within Structure) where my content is (= Structure Factory Libraries), no patches are available in the "Add Patch" menu under the Patch button on the left side of Structure's main window. I thought that after installing the five DVD's, the patches would be available there. Is this true, or not?

The only way I can load a factory patch, is to navigate the long way via MacHD/Applications/Digidesign/Structure/Structure Factory Libraries each time I want to pick a patch. It's not supposed to be like this, is it?

A question: After installing the five DVD's with content for the full version of Structure, what are the names of the folders? Are these the 15 folders where the first is named "01 Acoustic Drums" and the last "15 Surround Atmospheres"? Are these the patches that were installed with the encrypted .big files?

This is the folder directory: Hard drive:\Structure\Structure Factory Libraries and in Structure Factory Libraries folder should be these folders including the Structure Encrypted Samples. This is all by default.

In the folder MacHD/Applications/Digidesign/Structure/ you should have an application called 'Set_Structure_Content_Location'. Did you try running this?

If this doesn't work, try the alias method I suggested earlier in this thread.

Failing that, full instructions for command line-based rebuilding of the database can be found here:

There is no such application in my Digidesign- or Structure folder. Editing the plist file seems a little radical, I think. Is that really the solution Digidesign suggests as the solution? Why not simple create a better installer?

I have sent a special support request, but there is no response from Avid.

Well, I may end up removing both ProTools and Structure and get rid of this brand. I am so disappointed when thinking about how great Digidesign was in the beginning, and how poorly they have managed in the last five years.

I finally got response from Avid Support, and they said that I needed to buy the upgrade to Structure 1.1 in order for this to work with OS 10.6 and PT9. I thought I had the latest version, but that was not so. After purchasing the upgrade (which I think should have been a free update...) and downloading and installing all the five DVD's again, the content with presets became visible within Structure. What I suggest to Avid, is that when an upgrade or update to ProTools is installed, the installer should check if the current Avid-plugins that are installed, are compatible or not. This is what I'm used to with other music software.
