Re: Auto Save error (seems like a major Protools 9 Problem)
I do huge sessions on various versions of Pro Tools everyday, and have only seen this issue when there has been plug-in or VI issue. Trash preferences and temporarily move all 3rd party plug-ins to the unused folder. Be sure all VIs have only one instance of the appropriate sample data installed and it is being properly pointed to by the application.

Re: Auto Save error (seems like a major Protools 9 Problem)
I only have the plug ins that came with Pro Tools. It does it to me every single day, multiple times. I have posted Sandra report on other thread and noone sees issue with my computer, or at least noone has commented. I have done every optimization listed to do, as well as watch the optimization videos. Im not saying it's a bug, but Im not saying it isnt either. Running PT as an admin as well.

Re: Auto Save error (seems like a major Protools 9 Problem)
I actually get this exact problem in pro tools le 8.0.5cs1. it happens randomly or during an elastic audio editing moment. most of the time it is from me using autotune evo a lot. it is crazy annoying.

Re: Auto Save error (seems like a major Protools 9 Problem)
Does disabling AutoSave fix it? What time segment is AutoSave set to? I was getting similar errors with previous versions of Pro Tools when I had the AutoSave time set to low values like 1 to 3 minutes. Not having this issue with 9.0.3 and AutoSave is set to 3 minutes.

Re: Auto Save error (seems like a major Protools 9 Problem)
I was never asked any questions, this isnt my thread (Im not original poster), but if you are asking me Im not sure what you're looking for. I have 2 drives in computer with one of them being partitioned. one being E: Back up and the other being G: Local disk. The other drive is my C drive. The E drive is where my pro tools stuff goes. The only thing on that drive is stuff for recording from Pro Tools and Reaper. I do not have any other accounts on this computer. Im the only user with the only admin account. Should I create a new one?
As far as folders.....I have a folder labeled Pro Tools. In that folder are a few other folders....Rigs (Where I store my Eleven Rack presets), Templates, My Songs (Which is where I save all of my Pro Tool Recordings), Midi (where I export my midi to), and Tune Corrected (Where I export tracks from melodyne). Im sure this is a dumb question, but how do I tell if drive is compressed? Im not trying to hijack this thread, so sorry to original op. Also I would encourage original OP to answer support's questions. Maybe there are some similarities here that will help the tech to diagnose. Also, Im sorry to support, if this is not the info you are seeking. Ill try to provide the information you seek as long as you can walk me through it. Thanks! Jeff |

To my knowledge everything is correct. With autobackup shut off, there have been no problems. I can't seem to find the plug-in version generator. I'd love to get autobackup working again. Thanks DTS!
