Heat Vanished

HEAt has miraculously become available and is authorised upon it's own accord in my ProTools session. I have not done anything. Somewhat a coincidence at the same time my support ticket was answered it appeared.
Anyway I was provided this link if anyone else is trying to trouble shoot missing Heat. Cheers.

So I'm starting to think that vanishing HEAT is an iLOK cloud issue. Yesterday when iLOK had server technical problems and many hundreds where effected my HEAT vanished soon after followed by PT. I since transferred to usb dingle and all is well. Touch wood.

Heat has vanished again. How is one supposed to rely on going back to a mix if the 1st insert disappears ad nauseam. Yet again a greyed out license in iLOK.
I'm starting to think this could be deliberate.

It's not deliberate but an on-going saga of BS with quirks and bugs of subscription licenses. It's a joke to push the subscription model on professionals. I haven't had a single issue since moving everything over to perpetual licenses.

Well, Avid needs a dedicated Bugs Task Force if they hope to remain at the head of the table.

Of course they have.

Avid Support is for customers that have problems and nowadays with the Support and Update Plan anyone can contact support as many times as they wish, Avid gets first hand info about the problems customers are having. Assuming the problems are reported.

Then there is the Beta Team who are told which bugs to take a look of, and if possible regression test when that problem was not there. All that info is visible to Alpha Team (engineering) all the time.

Everything just takes time.

Make a problem. Charge/subdue the consumer/public and provide a solution or at the very least hope. Rinse and repeat.

The oldest and most widely spread racket in the history of mankind.

... and you think Avid is the industry standard bcs they know how to screw up Hollywood studios which are their biggest payimg customers? Cmon
