Digi 192 I/O Analog In or Digital In for Vocals??

Would you guys record vocals through the ANALOG IN card or through the DIGITAL In card? Is there a difference as far as quality? I've heard the DIGITAL IN sounds better than the ANALOG IN. I don't have an ANALOG card at all. Are there any tests?

Is there more than one way to connect your condenser mic to the 192 other than the DB25?

i.e. >>> Blueberry Mic>GAPre73>192 IO (Blueberry to GAPre73 input, out the GAPre73 into the 192 via DB25 snake)

I'll asume you know you need a mic pre amp between the mic and the 192
some pre amps have there own analog to digital converters built into them, with those you can go digitally into the 192 from the pre amp

or you can get a 3rd party ADC and put it in between the pre amp and the 192

is the difference worth it? only you can say for sure if it is worth it to you

Ok gotcha. Thanks man. I'm still trying to figure this 192 out, not too hard. Just confused about the AES thing and SPDIF.

Also, with just my DIGITAL card, I can connect something like a Digimax LT or ADA8000 via ADAT and get an additional 8 inputs right?
