Default nvidia quadro 2000 driver

I just built a custom desktop and chose nvidia quadro 2000 for my graphics card. It is on the supported list, but I'm a little confused on the graphics driver. Version 259.81 seems to be the supported graphics driver for PT 10, and there is a link pointing to the download on nvidia's site. However, the most recent driver on nvidia's site is version 311.15 (also WHQL). What's the story here? Has anyone been able to use this latest version, or at least a newer version that 259.81? Is there something about that particular driver that will work for PT 10, but newer drivers will not? Or is it just a matter of that is the last version that avid officially tested and supports?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and my system is based on P9X79 WS / i7-3930k.

Thanks in advance!
Kyle

Chances are that the driver that was out when that particular machine was qualified. You might want to install that driver and make a system restore point. Than install the newer one. Or you may just want to run with the old driver for awhile and see how its is. A tremdous amount of graphics driver updates are about fixing bugs in games and chasing frame rates as game patches come out. None of which is going to help Pro Tools run any better.

OK, I'll go with the old one for now and see how that works... Thanks!
