Default Multiple VI's controlled idependantly

Hello DUC-ers

Here's one, thats probably stupidly simple but got me stumped.

Two instrument tracks, one with the B4II on it, one with a piano VI loaded up.

I have my Korg SP100 MIDI'd into PT via my eMagic MT4, which shows up in PT under it own name.

My Edirol keyboard is MIDI'd directly into my 002R.

WHY CAN'T TWO MUSICIANS PLAY AT THE SAME TIME AND HEAR THESE INSTRUMENTS INDEPENDENT OF EACH OTHER?!!!

I''ve selected the inputs on the instrument tracks to not see "ALL MIDI in" but just where I want the info coming from (i.e. MT4 MIDI in 1). You can only select one instrument to be played live at any given time. It sucks... what am I doing wrong?

You can. Just relax a little bit.

You're on the right track here.

Are you record arming both tracks? (Shift + click MIDI/Instrument tracks to arm multiples)

Make sure your Default Thru Instrument is not set for “first selected MIDI track”. (Setup->Preferences, MIDI tab)

I think what you are looking for is on page 389 and 390 in the ProTools Reference Guide.

Me too, Makes me even feel good. By the way does anyone know how to use VI multi timbrely with an MPC. I see logic people do it all the time but not pro tools people.
