Default Midi Track Troubles with PT 7.1

For some reason since I've up upgraded to PT 7 (7.1 to be exact) I have not been able to select Sampletank 2 as an output for my midi channels. Also I have not been able to select my midi input device (a yamaha UX16 usb midi interface) as the input for my midi tracks, thus preventing me from using my keyboard as a midi controller.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to fix these problems? I didn't have any of these issues with PT 6.9.

Thanks a million!

I can't assist you with your SampleTank issue (I just don't use it) but as for your MIDI Interface troubles, create yourself a profile for your Keyboard with MSS (MIDI Studio Setup) Setup>MIDI>MIDI Studio Setup and find your Keyboards Manufacturer and Model. Here in the I/O Ports you should be able to select your Yamaha UX 16 MIDI Interface and if your doing complex Channel mapping don't forget to deactivate the Send and Receive Channels.

Hope this helps.

If that doesn't work, just try a re-install of Protools 7.1.
Several users have noted problems when installing 7.0 and 7.1 with MIDI in's and outs not working.
