Native New Yorker

I am a native New Yorker. I have stood on the roof of the twin towers observatory and felt their gentle swaying on numerous occasions, I have pointed down at the insect size cars in traffic miles of distance below my feet, I have also had both the pleasure and displeasure of regularly taking the subway that leads to the underground world beneath "1 World trade Center".

I remember how my mind on occasion indulged the oppressive horror of some unforeseen catastrophe striking this structure, and the dread that would ensue. Followed by the comfort that this could only happen in a Movie set on the other side of the coast.

Wrong!

Never in my lifetime could I have imagined such ill regard for human life.

I will never be the same!
How can anything ever be the same!

I assume that the enemy is not a Pro Tools user, because people that do what he does, do not do what people like us do.

We are a peaceful community.

I hope.

I am now living in Texas and I have been planning on returning to my hometown.

I am not sure now.

Im gonna miss my skyline!

I wake up this morning and look out at was once the trade towers. One of my partners had an office in tower 2. As i watched the carnage from my studio's roof top I though of her. She was on her way to a meeting on the 90th floor.. By dumb luck or a supreme being's will, she got out ok. I still pray for my business friends and my partner's friends and associates who have yet been accounted for... The air still smells of the fires and destruction. Sorry for rambling, I'm off to support my local Fire Department.

all i can say from this part of the world about this unbelievable tragedy is:

we fully stand behind all of you. Our thoughts are with all the people in the States and especially with all the victims and their families in New York.

I personally did stop the work since Tuesday for the rest of the week to let all energy flow to the U.S. citizens.

Kennedy once said 'ich bin ein Berliner'.
Be assured that we are all 'Americans' in this hard times.
