Quick Venue Software Question
When you move the order of the input channels, is there a way to store that as a snapshot so when I recall another snapshot it goes back to how it was? TIA!!

Re: Quick Venue Software Question
No, channel reordering is actually about moving data in the show file, so it can't be covered in a snapshot. At the same time, on S3L/S6L you can use user layouts (recalled from a snapshot) to achieve similar effect.

Re: Quick Venue Software Question
There is a way to create an artificial "flex channel" on the system, it just takes a LOT of programming. If you have time in pre-production you CAN make it part of your workflow and through snapshots it can seem like you're "rearranging" channels on the fly.
Just keep a physical channel spot open on the top layer of the console (something that can always be accessed through VCA spill), but leave it "empty". If you then save your channel settings in the presets folder you can pull up whatever channel you want to your "flex channel" and save that setting to a snapshot as long as you have the proper parameters scoped. Again, long tedious pain in the butt process, but it accomplishes what you're asking for WITHOUT interrupting audio. |

Re: Quick Venue Software Question
Oh... One IMPORTANT thing! That process WILL cause issues if you're trying to "move" channels that need Phantom Power! You will get pops and delays in receiving audio down the channel until the supply rails are fully powered.
Another way to accomplish the same thing if you need phantom power is to use a VCA as your "Flex Channel". You can re-populate that particular VCA with whatever channel you need on a snapshot by snapshot basis without having to worry about Phantom Power. Downside... you lose the functionality of one of your VCAs. |
