One thing to remember is you still pay a premium for AAX DSP with most plugin sales but not Plugin Alliance. Sure, the penalty is not double as was common back in the TDM days but you will still pay more for DSP code.

I'd personally go for Plugin Alliance although I would look to get off the subscription train before too long. I've being buying about one a month for the last few years and I have more than enough with 85 plugins from them. I got busy with the calculator one day and worked out the average price was about $20 a piece. So that was about 7 years subscribing at $250 a year which is almost when I got started with Plugin Alliance. Difference is I can leave at any time and still access all the plugins.

You'll soon find you neither need or want all the plugins in the bundle. Subscribe for a while a see what really works for you. Then you can start grabbing them when they come up for sale (which is pretty often)!

I already made the mistake of buying Waves without realizing it was all native!. This is what happens when you've been using pt9 until now.
I'll second and third what some people are saying, definitely Plug-in Alliance, especially if you want to use AAX DSP. I don't think Slate has even a single AAX DSP plugin. I like PA's subscription, pretty reasonable if you ask me.

Like mentioned, for AAX DSP, McDSP is another great option and Sonnox as well.

Hi janne i tend use Type 1 ( default ) when first opening the EQ but if i need a more smooth or "musical" according to the source i end up using Type 3 and sometimes 4 ( more on mastering for me this last one tho ). Saddly i don't have HDX so i can't use the GML 8200.

Lucky me, got addicted to it at TDM days. Found out that HDX era it still works as long you have the DSP license
