Avid Download Error and ASC Not Working

I bought an Avid Support Code and neither the website nor their phone system accepts the code. I need some help from a live person and cannot reach one.

I had Avid 6.5 EDU installed on my older laptop. It was damaged by water and I would like to reinstall Avid onto my new laptop. I downloaded the 6.5.4 installer off of my Avid product page, but the installation crashes my laptop. I was finally able to get through the installation without it crashing, but an error occurs saying "The installation failed. Contact software manufacturer for assistance."

I then bought a support code. After I entered my support code into the phone, the automated message said my code did not work for phone calls, even though I specifically bought the code to call Avid.

I don't know how to resolve my initial problem because I can't figure out how to get access to talk to someone, which is another problem in itself.
