Default Where\'s the AES buzz?

Things just seem a bit too quiet.
Anything new from Digi?

Just passed through. Overall, Digi's new stuff is pretty mediocre / boring. Not much new in 7.4 - thought Digi would come with more after all the Logic hype; it looks like they are going for the Abelton Live market with the new feature; unfortunately no new feature for us pro mixers . I was excited for the new control surface, but it's not what I was looking for - I was hoping they would update the C24 but add Eq and Comp sections like the dCommand, you know, make it possible to control plugins from the control surface, but no dice. It kinda looks like a updated Pro Control. The Icon D-Control ES looks a million times better then the original (it actually doesn't look like a toy)...I feel bad for those who dropped the $100k on the original.

Do you mean that you wish the c|24 had dedicated eq and compression plugin control? I am pretty sure you can control plugins with the rotary encoders or the faders. Looks like its the old c24 only flatter to me.

Maaannnnn.... I was hoping for new high octane PCIe cards. My old G4 is just about toast... looks like I'll just have to crossgrade from x to e to get into a new Mac.
I hate that.
It seems like I've been waiting for at least a couple of years with "Digi" money in hand to upgrade (NOT CROSSGRADE).
I give up... but if Digi comes out with new cards right after I crossgrade I might have to make a trip out to DigiWorld and yell at the receptionist.

Well you could always buy the MUCH cheaper, PCI-PCIe Expansion chassis from Magma, It will set you back about 1500 but that is MUCH cheaper then upgrading all your cards.
Nothing worse then spending tons of money to upgrade a card of the same caliber to just a different card spec (PCI-PCIe) Magma solution is much more cost effective.
But they probably dont support it these days because of that exact reason.
Call Magma first.
