Default S6l Plug-in compatibility

I have seen the list of the compatible plugins on the AVID website. I'm wondering, though, if other AAX plugins will work? I'm after 2 things in particular right now. I would like a stereo widener like "DUY Wide". I am also interested in a peak clipping plugin like T-Racks "Classic Clipper". Will these plugins work? or is there an alternative that will?

It has to be AAX DSP !

Sometimes there is no installer but you can manually install the plugin.

The go to places for Plugins are:

McDSP
Plugin Alliance
SK-Note
Sonnox
Metric Halo

Other than that there is not much to be found, but they have plenty of stuff.

Have you seen that there will be a waves card for S6L soon? Maybe that helps?

Waves integration looks promising, it's still their server you need to use but no external computer will be needed, plugins come up in the Venue rack and whopping 8 per one slot, old Profile show files are promised be compatible. Actually at this point I would say it's actually a good thing the Waves DSP runs on their server as I was finally able to test drive the S6L and my 4-chip-plugin-usage show file filled 7 chips on S6L, so the one default DSP card in there is not a that powerful due to the fact that the desk is running at 96K. Sure you can add DSP cards... only problem being Avid S6L DSP card is $8200.- when Waves Extreme server is $2500.- Sure the Waves card will also have a price tag... We'll see how much that will be

Well, there's also 18 chips available per HDX Card, so double what was on a TDM card, and the Mixer doesn't use any of that... So you've got close to the plugin power than a maxed out Profile system, with just one HDX card in an S6L.
