Default Media Center ?

Has any body ever gotten Pro Tools M-Powered for Windows XP to work on the Media Center Edition? Or is that an absolute impossiblity?

I gather Digidesign doesn't SUPPORT that configuration but... does that mean it absolutely will not work? Or is there some kind of "work around" ?

Pretty much sucks to find out that's the case after I've purchased and opened the software...

I've heard of a few people getting it to run at some level, I am not sure if it was as stable as on XP. You can buy legit copies of XP for pretty cheap now, too. For software that is that expensive, it only makes sense to check the compatibility multiple times before pulling the trigger.

I've had good luck with MCE, on DIY desktops using Digi approved chipsets.

MCE seems to be somewhat problematic on laptops with PT but then laptops in general can have problems with PT.

Short version...If it runs on MCE leave it alone, If it doesn't than plan on either dual booting or installing XP Home.

Configuring a laptop with XP home cam be tough enough.

I also have Toshiba Qosmio with Media Center Edition it's not dual core though it's one of the first ones and both LE and MP work with no problem on it.
