Default Writing Automation

I'm running into difficulty writing automation.

I'm following instructions from the manual... but must be missing something.

Select Enable automation, select volume, select "write" for the channel in question, playback protools, adjust faders through playback... switch channel to "auto read".

But, then when playingback changes don't seem to be there.

HELP!

Default Re: Writing Automation

Open up the automation window and make sure that the type of automation you want to write is enabled.
