Default MIDI event list bug

Well I waited to update to PT 2019.10 from 2019.6. For the most part things went okay except for one issue and that's I can't delete events in the MIDI event list. I can add events but not delete any, even the ones I just entered. I installed 2019.10 over the top of 2019.6 on the 2012 cheesegrater running OSX 10.13.6. Rebooted did nothing to help things.

So I figured I'd go backwards to 2019.6. Luckily I had the installer at hand so I went to install it over the top of 2019.10 but that kicked up a problem. The install went okay but when I went to open what I thought was PT 2019.6 from the Applications folder lo and behold what opened was PT 2019.10. I guess you can't install an older version over the top of a newer version. So I deleted the PT 2019.10 application from the Applications folder, emptied the trash and proceeded to reinstall PT 2019.6. After the install was done and I uninstalled Avid Link, Cloud Services and the FB360 plugins via the respective uninstallers I was back in business with being able to delete events in the MIDI event list.

I figured that I'd post here and ask if anyone else has run into this problem. Or has something changed in how the MIDI event list works between the two latest PT 2019 versions?

Update:
Tried again with a fresh installer download from my Avid account and no joy.

I'd report this as a bug but I'm still waiting for Avid to okay my request to access the support portal. Barring that how do I report this issue? I'm on the yearly support plan with my reinstatement to go from PT 11.3.2 to PT 2019.6. There's no real thing in the way of instructions on how to report bugs. And I don't feel like doing this via a phone call either.

Is no one else having this problem about not being able to delete events in the MIDI event list? I can't be the only one who's seeing this.

Avid STILL hasn't okayed my request to access the support portal. How can I report this without that access?

This is on the 2012 cheesegrater in my profile - OSX 10.13.6, etc.

Have you tried opt + click (Mac)? It works for me.

No. Didn't have to do that before. Before you could just click on an event in the list and hit the 'delete' key on your Mac keyboard. Where did you find this little tidbit?

edit for additional:
Just tried it and it works for single events or a group of events that are contiguous. If you command-click to select non-contiguous events you can't even make that selection. Avid screwed-up big time with this.

edit for additional #2
Found it in the manual in both PT 2019.6 and PT 11.3.x. Up until PT 2019.10 you could just use the delete key on the keyboard to delete the event and you could use the more-or-less standard thing of using the cmd key to select non-contiguous events even though the manuals said you have to shift-click to grab contiguous events. And in 2019.10 you can't even select non-contiguous events to do anything with them. Can you say frustrating?

This response here just saved my iMac from being unplugged and thrown out the window into the deep end of the pool. What a PoS keyboard layout, entirely on MacPS (intentionally misspelled). Love the mac for so many things, but how the keyboard is mapped (entirely) is infuriating and stupid. /rant off

Thank you, DirtyTricks, for saving my Mac.
