Default PostConform 2.0.1 Problem

Any help on this one will be greatly appreciated.

I'm posting a doc with a very green editor who has digitized much of his audio too hot.

I asked for an EDL so I can redigitize the blown out reels.

Since we do so much work via OMF, in the year that this PT system has been around, I am the first person to try to run PostConform.

So I get my list, fire up PostConform, and PostConform won't import the file, as if it doesn't find it to be a valid edl.

No prob, take it into EDL Manager on a PC, create a verified clean CMX 3600 list. PostConform still doesn't think it's an edl, and still won't import it. Doesn't even list it as a file when the import box is open.

Clean it again with PreReader, another EDL cleaning solution. Same problem.l

So I have a video editor here create a short CMX list of the spot he's cutting from the Symphony. Same problem with this list. PostConform will not even list it as an importable file.

All files have the .edl extension, and I've tried upper case naming limited to 6 characters, and lowercase naming limited to 6 characters.

The edl I need to use but can't was made on Final Cut Pro, and the test file edl I had made to check out my box was made on a Symphony.

Ant thoughts? Luckily, the client is giving me a some time to cut and mix this show because he knows it's a bit of a mess, so I've got time to work this out.

Thanks for the feedback and input!

This was the fix! Many thanks. Now, if I can just get the reels I need, I might be in business again!

Thanks again.
