Also-

This won't break too many hearts, but it looks like Chrome Tone and Synthesizer One have been dropped from the Emerald Bundle.

Okie-Dokie..

Here's what McDSP had to say:

Hello Danny,

Of the plug-ins you listed, only FilterBank has a new User Interface, three totally new configurations actually. All the plug-ins have bug fixes, increased Pro Tools compatibility, and most especially various TDM optimizations. As for the PC version, it is best that you wait to upgrade at the moment we have only released Intel Mac version. Windows v5 versions will come Q1 of 2011.

Thanks for your questions!

(Just for the record I had asked about ML4000, Filterbank, and Channel G)

Nice guys for answering so quickly though.. I'd imagine they're inundated with ?'s right now.

I called them today, and the guy mentioned that Analog Channel has been improved to sound better. He didn't go into specifics.

However, he did say that you can demo the new versions even if you already own the old ones, which is great.

I am sorry but it will stop me from buying (upgrading to) version 5. Even though I love these plugs and have them all in my both studios , I cannot engage my self forever with McDSP. I mean there are too many options today and the future is offering many ways of DAW to be developed.
Today I have several TDM systems but if I decide ever to go native or whatever it will be, I stuck with my McDSP HD full licenses???!!!
Even Sonnox lets transfer of their licenses (not for free).
So I must admit that despite my love to all MsDSP line I will not upgrade to v5 because of this issue.
After my Channel G lost it's surround 5.1 capability in a recent update, I stopped using this very plugin at all.
I am afraid if McDSP makes v5 NFR, and keeps current prices...well I may step out. If a NFR verion 5 goes 5 times cheapper...
