Bruce - do you know if anything has been worked out for those of us who did not have registered copies (most of which are probably 'secondhand')? As an iLok surrender is not required (I guess so that users may continue to utilise the RTAS version with Pro Tools prior to V10, as IEP V2 apparently has both AAX 32 and 64 versions for PT10 and 11) and I don't believe we've heard anything firm from AIR on the subject (I can't remember for sure but there was a DUC discussion where we got the impression that AIR was trying to make this upgrade possible), it's not looking good!

I understood that Avid previously considered the holder of the iLok asset to be the owner of the software ... in this case, it sounds like the original (and likely registered) owner of my PTIEP may now receive a promo code from AIR ... which he/she could possibly sell on again??!!

Since it is not our product that you would be upgrading to, I can't speak for AIR...but I think there is reason to be optimistic in that regard. Pretty sure there will be additional details on their site as they continue to roll this release out. Remember, they want people to be able to upgrade. But they may not want to crash their systems on day 1 with every possible upgrade scenario.

Thanks Bruce - good to hear your optimism! I hope their servers/hosting provider are ready for the inevitable onslaught!!!!

I just received an email allowing me to re-purchase the pack for $299., with no promo code for the upgrade.

What a mess.

Same here.. No code and we have a registered copy of PTIEP1 so why wasn't this included in the email offer as we have been waiting for a LONG TIME

EDIT: my codes came 20 mins after the email offering and wanted to clarify that
