HELP!! How to convert an OMF 2.0 file for Protools 12
Hello all!
Running HighSierra on a Mac. Created the OMF 2.0 file on an older computer Specs on file are as follows: Timecode format: 30 Audio bit depth: 0, 32 Audio sample rate: 48000 Audio file type: BWF (.WAV), Embedded Video frame rate: 30 fps I don't care about the Video Frame rate. Not even sure what that's in there for. I just need the audio files to convert so they will play properly in Protools 12 I CAN import the OMF, but tracks are noisey, so something's not right (that's an understatement!). Would someone PLEASE help me here. I would very much appreciate it. Is there a conversion software that will get the job done? Thank you in advance!! Lisa |

Well.... distorted, but there is a white noise in there as well.... so....not sure how to answer that. You can hear the basic melody being sung and words on the vocal track, but muddled amongst noise.

Very odd. I have had similar issues importing AAFs that are exported 32 bit float. They come in super hot. That sounds different than what you are experiencing. Have you tried exporting the OMF at 24 bit?

^ Yes. Don't use 32 bit. Force to 24 bit on the originating system. OMF doesn't support 32.
