Does the S3 have any Surround Features?

I know that, in spite of the 6 outs (2 pr of stereo speakers & 1 HP), it doesn't have surround monitoring. But if you have an external audio interface that will support 5.1/7.1 surround, what does the S3 offer in the way of surround controls?

The external interface cant be controlled by S3 so nothing there. The S3 does have all the surround panning up to Atmos if using PT and EUCON tracks. As do most other DAW's.

So, I'd have to use an external audio interface for surround work? Any word on being able to link multiple S3s yet?

Yes the audio interface on the S3 is meant for Stereo. No timeline for having 2 S3 together (and this wouldn't link the DSP part only EUCON)
