Error: "pro tools session version too new while translating document"
Help, I am trying to open a protools session (created in 7.4cs5) in an older version of protools (7.0), but I am getting the following error message:
"pro tools session version too new while translating document" Does anyone know a way around this? I am desperate to get these files to open on the older version of Protools, I would upgrade the version, but I just don't have time to re-install all the plugins etc!! Many thanks in advance!!

The bad news is: You have to get the update; the good news is, it will only take six hours to do everything ....

Have the person who saved the session resave it as a 6x version. You should be able to open the 6x version. If he/she is on a Mac, make sure they check the "Enforce Mac PC Compatibility" box.
