Default Motu Traveler connected to Digi002 through Optical

This is probably a dumb question, but can I use the ADAT optical out on my MOTU Traveler to gain 8 more inputs in PT7LE? I have tried but to no avail. I got channels ADAT1 and ADAT2 to work, but that's it. Can anyone help?

I am using only one optical cable going OUT from MOTU to IN on 002. I set hardware setting to clock to ADAT.
What should I be doing?

Heath
