STRIKE SEPARATE OUTS
I'M TRYING TO USE STRIKE AS A DRUM MODULE VIA THE BLUE KEYS OR MIDI CHANNEL 2 WITH WHITE KEYS . MY PROBLEM IS THIS . HOW DO YOU GET SEVERAL SNARES OR HI HATS eg TO SHOW UP ON DIFFERENT DRUM CHANNELS RATHER THAN ALL LOADED SNARES COMING OUT OF THE SAME DRUM CHANNEL . I WOULD LIKE TO TREAT THEM DIFFERENTLY OR HAVE THEM ON DIFFERENT AUDIO TRACKS WITHIN PROTOOLS . CAN ANYONE HELP . EDDIE

Re: STRIKE SEPARATE OUTS
Drag and drop the Preset Kit Snares on to a chosen Mix Page Channel then assign the Channel Output to a Audio or AUX track Input.

Re: STRIKE SEPARATE OUTS
The way I do this is by loading multiple/different snares, hats or whatever to the individual channels of the Strike kit page, then assign different midi tracks to Strike channels 3 on up. An individual midi channel assigned to an individual Strike kit channel. Then assign Strike mix channel outputs from 1 to 8. Then assign inputs to however many different audio tracks to come from Strike.

Re: STRIKE SEPARATE OUTS
I'd like to know how to do this too but for different reasons - i'm sick of muting/soloing individual drum elements within Strike and then bouncing 6, 7 or 8 times to get the whole drum kit into audio form on separate tracks.
So, in Strike can you assign different drum elements to it's own audio track? I'd like to be able to bounce each piece of kit to it's own track in a single bounce, rather than the time consuming method i've mentioned above. Musicalavtech, how do you access Strike's mix channel outputs? I can't find this option. I'm newish to the MIDI side of PT, and I can only work out how get output from Strike's master outs... that said i'm a fast learner if someone can break this down into steps for me. I get what you're trying to explain, but I can't find the appropriate menu options/window to achieve the outcome. |

Re: STRIKE SEPARATE OUTS
On the Strike mix page, just above the pan slider, you'll see the default 'Master', click that for a pop up window to select an optional output. Then on the audio track, select the same for an input.

Woof woof... I get some of my dilemmas solved from so many others in this forum, including a guru early in this very thread;-)
Give the doggie biscuits to Filosofem and Spkguitar.
