Not getting 768 tks w/CPTK2 in PTX?

Hey gang,
If this has been asked in several threads - the search function didn't find it for me.

I was just going through all my 'upgrades' as a new PTX + Complete Production Toolkit 2 owner.

But I just tried adding 768 mono tracks to a 24bit 48k project. It only activates 256 tracks. What am I doing wrong? According to all guides I've read I should have 768 available to me as a PT10 Native (non HDX) owner. There is supposed to be no file to download for CPTK2 like there was in the DVTK2 and MPTK days.. What gives?

You need 3 HDX cards to get 768 active tracks.
HD Native and 10HD/CPTK and PT10/HDX 1 and 10HD are all 256 active tracks max.
HDX 2 and PT10HD is 512 active tracks.

Hmm. Their read me tells a different story entirely. They better clean that up. I am getting 'double' the tracks I had under PT9 - so I can't complain - nor can I think of 'any' instance where I'd need anywhere NEAR 768 tracks.. LOL!

And to add one scenario to your list that also gets 256 tracks at 48k (128 at 96K) = PT 10 Native + CPTK2

i haven't read the doc in quite awhile but IIRC you can have a max of 768 voices. IIRC PT10+CPTK will let you create 768 audio trax 'max' in a session of which only 256 can be voiced/played back/active at one time. i think a lot of us non-HD folks had to get used to the 'voices' terminology when applyin' it to non-HD PT9/10.
