ProTools 11HD hangs on startup - Xpand

Hi there,

I have a PT11HD, which i'm using on both Windows 8 and OS X MAvericks.

On Windows, my ProTools now freezes during startup on Xpand loading.

I tried reinstall the Air VI package, but still the same issue.

Anyone knows how to reseolve that thing? (which appeared out of nowhere, without any upgrades done prior to it or such thing)

Assuming you can get protools to open? If not hold down shift when opening the program and it will bypass plugins

Once open go to setup/preferences/operation and make sure your user library is set to the correct place where all your xpand instrumets/presets are.

If this doesn't fix it then im out of ideas.

Thanks for the reply

I tried to remove Xpand from the AAX plugins folder, so it won't be loaded to see if Xpand was the cause, but now, it freezes on the next one (which is XForm)... It has already external plugins like Waves and Flux, so I don't know who to blame... ProTools I guess, but don't know what to do next...

Tried to trash prefs, still no luck...

Any help is appreciated :)

Maybe try going to add/remove programs and "repairing" pro tools
