track vocals with some reverb (that doesn\'t print)
I want to track some vocals and be able to hear some reverb in the monitor out but not print the reverb permanently. Is this as simple as turning off low latency mode? what about auto input monitoring?
thanks |

Just insert a reverb on the track you're recording to. You'll hear the verb while recording but the vox that is recorded will be dry.

Re: track vocals with some reverb (that doesn\'t print)
You can stay in low latency montior mode and aux the reverb. Set up 2 aux tracks. Aux 1 will have the same input source as your record-enabled track, to which you are recording dry. Set the output of Aux to a Bus, say Bus 1. Set the input of Aux 2 to the output of Aux 1, or Bus 1-2. Insert the verb plug on Aux 2. Aux 2 outputs to your main outs.
Any delay will act as reverb pre-delay. |

Re: track vocals with some reverb (that doesn\'t print)
Why not just have a STEREO AUX track setup with Trueverb, Dverb, or whatever verb ya want.... Turn LOW LATENCY OFF and buss the VOX to that verb? Pretty standard way of doing it.
Put the AUX in SOLO SAFE, and then Set the BUSS to whatever level ya need it to be. So: 1. CREATE A STEREO AUX 2. SET TO THAT AUX TRACK TO BUSS (say 15/16) SET to ZERO Db 3. ADD VERB OF CHOICE 4. SOLO SAFE THAT AUX TRACK - so you hear the verb when you solo whatever is sent to it 5. TAKE YOUR VOCAL TRACK AND BUSS it to 15/16 6. Add Verb to taste. Same goes for any other effect that will be used across the board. TURN LOW LATENCY Off.... With a 64 bit proessor you should be fine without that crap on. Heck I use a AMD 3000 and NEVER use Low LAtency. - Doc
